A lot of these guys come across as being desperate to the point of being undesirable because they are signalling and broadcasting very loudly without an ounce of self awareness that they are in love with the idea of being in love or being loved.

They're rejecting you as a human being while begging you to love them and/or have sex with them.

Well that's attractive to the group who's been struggling for over a hundres years to have their humanity valued and recognized!

Who wouldn't want to say yes to that? They're so cute when they're desperate, right? And really, how much does your humanity mean to you? It won't get you a man anywhere near as easily as being a living doll to soothe away his pain.
