A lot of gender essentialism is a language shell game to oppress women and elevate men. Right?
Like how men create art but women make crafts. This values the creations of men over the creations of women.
Like how men use tools but women use supplies. Compare the equipment used of an Amazon warehouse packer with a secretary. But the word 'tools' over 'supplies' justifies him being paid more.
Likewise, when a man feeds his child a bottle it's because men are "biologically wired" to be providers and protectors. But when a woman feeds that same infant milk that she has provided from her own breast, it's because women are just naturally more nurturing. This language sleight of hand elevated men and makes women deoendent upon them even as they are the ones doing the actual providing of sustenance. Because where did the milk in that bottle come from? Mmnhmm.
