A lot of arguing about whether he is smart or not in the comments. Personally, I think it’s a bit of both. He’s like an idiot savant. He has one skill that he is extremely good at — manipulation. One could say he has a genius for it. He certainly enjoys it. That doesn’t mean he can do the basic sort of thinking or everyday tasks that everyone else can do, like running a business properly.

The fact that he’s a sociopath on top of his manipulative savantism is what makes him dangerous.

People are saying, he’s inept because he misses an opportunity to be a savior to his base. IMHO, beside the point. It was more like, he saw an opportunity to strike/hurt his “enemies”, he knew this would be enjoyable to him, so he did it. The thinking never went beyond that.

But that would eventually hurt his base? So what? There’s plenty of people who love him and he can always get more supporters. That makes him smarter than everyone else. They’re willing to die for him and the cause. They’re not going to be libtard pussies. That’s how the thinking goes. Let’s not pretend otherwise. He doesn’t care about harming his base for the chance to harm his enemies. He never did. He only cares about himself.
